This is my first oil cleanser that I have tried and I did not have any idea what an oul cleanserbshould do. but based on reviews and skincare articles, oil cleansers are a quick and effective way to clean heavy make up just by one use. This philosophy oil cleanser did just that; it cleansed really good except for the eye area with eyeliners on, I do need to apply them one more time to really take off all eyeliners and eyeshadows. But the oil itself is really gentle on my skin, it has a fresh wood-y smell which is good, and it doesnt hurt my skin even when I am cleaning with too much energy. It left a bouncy feeling on my skin.
